Yoga for Corporate World
Every company has needs with respect to - employee’s motivation, their moral and ethical conduct, personality development, interpersonal skills, their psycho-somatic health, stress management, team-building, leadership & decision making, a proactive work culture, conflict management & resolution, alignment of personal goals with company goals, creativity and performance, etc. In this scenario, each individual is like a building block. 'Yoga', the science of body and mind, cultivates this individual, fostering one’s congruence and wholesomeness; thereby effecting personal growth and company aggrandizement.
With the fast moving life of today's work environment, tremendous competitive spirit in every sphere, pressure of meeting deadlines, information overflow (- thanks to the internet), deteriorating food habits, lack of daily routine - particularly in the younger generation; people in general have been falling prey to several diseases at a very young age. The field of psycho-neuro-immunology underscores the intricate relationship between mind and body, stress and disease. The more stressed we are, the less efficiently our body's immune system works. The amount of money lost to stress-related problems in the workforce - absenteeism, illness, discord, and just plain inefficiency on the job - is incalculable.
Yoga, as it is known today, has a hundred variants. Alas! Somewhere down the line, the ancient wisdom of Yoga seems to have been lost in this modern world. The doctrine of Yoga as 'a way of life' has become obsolete. The firmament of 'Ashtanga Yoga', as propagated by Patanjali in the ‘Yoga Sutras’, has lost its luster. As a result, the mind and body rebel, and fall sick. This program is comprised of Yoga Workshops that have been designed with the intent of reviving this glorious and perennially relevant knowledge embedded in the ‘Yoga Sutras’, to influence the body-mind nexus; thereby enriching our lives and the lives of those around us.
